In the beginning, there was heaven, earth, and hell. Six days God worked, on the 7th he rested well. On the 8th day, however, despite what you’ve been told. Limbo was created, and boy was this shit gold. In this land Magdalena resides. By Gods rule book she must abide. Distributing souls of those who’ve past. Let’s see how long this will last…

CONCEPT

Co-created with my friend Carys, the concept for our play came to us when discussing our favourite Friday night topic: highly unlikely philosophical situations. We love all things metaphysical and how these hypothetical situations would turn out if we were in them. This sparked the idea of what would happen if three celestial beings oversaw putting people into Heaven or Hell. Seeing this vision of a council at a round table, we thought about how we would be able to turn this into a philosophical dark comedy, made to make audiences think about their own afterlife.
